ICM Lifting Devices

Safety Alert

 

All manufactured ICM lifting devices or devices ICM employees’ use, such as lifting beams, spreader beams, any below the hook lifting device, etc. needs to be certified by an engineer.

 

ICM is implementing a program to certify our lifting devices with help from an engineer we will have the necessary documentation and certification needed. If you have or are using a lifting device with out any certified ratings or markings, Please return it to the yard so we can get the proper documentation.

 

OSHA states non-engineered devices should not be used. Only those devices which meet Good engineering design, construction, and inspection should be used. OSHA refers to ANSI/ASME B30.20 as the standard.

 

If you want a copy of the ANSI/ASME B30.20 group I standards which applies or have any questions, please contact your safety director
