Safety Alert

Some simple notes

New employees are five times more likely to suffer a lost-time injury on the job within the first month than are those more experienced.

40 percent of all workers injured on the job have been doing it less than a year.

Make sure, they're familiar with the tools, conditions, and most important, safety hazards, of their new environment.

Supervisors need to remind everyone again and again that questions are welcome at any time.

Every worker can make (and is expected to make) an important contribution to organizational safety.

ICM has had a first aid report. It’s a burn to the neck, an employee standing on a ladder removing a pipe hangar with a torch, the piece came loose falling on the employee.

Remember to fill out the First reports of injury on all accidents so we can get them turned in.

If there are any questions, please contact your safety director.
