Seat belt Use

Safety Alert

The pictures I have attached with this alert are of a roll over accident that happened recently.  The pickup truck involved was a PIC company truck.  I do not have the details on what caused the incident but I do know that both employees in the truck walked away without injuries.  The key factor to remember is that both employees were wearing their SEAT BELTS!  Your chances of surviving a catastrophic accident such as this will improve if you are wearing your seat belt.

A quick review of company policy on vehicle use states:

As a condition of employment, all drivers and passengers of Company owned or leased vehicles must wear seat belts and obey all traffic laws and regulations.  In the state of Colorado, wearing a seat belt while operating a vehicle is the law.

Seat belt use is important anytime you operate a vehicle, even when you are not working.  Insist that all occupants in any vehicle you operate buckle up.
