We here at ICM believe that the success of the
corporation depends upon the success of the
individuals that make up the corporation.
Typically people come to us with very high level
technical skills. The kind of work that we do
demands it and attracts it. At the same time we
find that very few people come to us with high level
people skills.
Our ongoing training includes in-house best
practices, leadership by example,
OSHA 30 classes and the Primavera Expedition
course for project management, and supervisor
training. In addition, we are using Dale Carnegie
courses. They have been proven again and again over
many years. While this is a long-term investment in
our people, the results are so dramatic that I
believe we recoup our investment almost
immediately. If each individual that attends these
courses goes away with just one useful tool it is
well worth the time and money.
Dale Carnegie made a claim that “95% of your
success in any field depends upon your ability to
communicate with and work with people”. I
believe this to be true. That is why we have
invested over $62,000* year to date in teaching
people skills.
We are committed to helping our people achieve true
and lasting success, and will continue to seek out
effective courses of training for both technical and
people skills.
